#OSFAIR2025 Highlights

The fifth edition of the Open Science Fair (OSFair 2025) brought together the international Open Science community for three days of collaboration, knowledge exchange, and innovation at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland.

Under the theme “Fusing Forces: Accelerating Open Science through Collaboration,” the conference explored how joining forces across disciplines, institutions, and borders can accelerate the transition towards a more open, inclusive, and sustainable research ecosystem.

With 353 participants from 43 countries across five continents, OSFair 2025 provided a vibrant platform for researchers, policymakers, research infrastructures, institutions, and Open Science practitioners to exchange experiences, showcase innovative solutions, and strengthen international partnerships.

Through keynote speeches, panel discussions, collaborative workshops, individual presentations, posters, and live demonstrations, participants explored the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of Open Science, from sustainable research infrastructures and responsible research assessment to research security, reproducibility, and community engagement.

OSFair 2025 reaffirmed the importance of collaboration in turning Open Science principles into practice and building a more connected and equitable global research ecosystem.

Fusing Forces – Accelerating Open Science through Collaboration

The fifth edition of the Open Science Fair (OSFair 2025) brought together 353 participants from 43 countries across five continents at CERN in Geneva.
